End of Line
Last Sunday evening, a long running era drew to a close as the region formerly known as Battlestar Pacifica, or BSG47, closed down. With little fanfare, the last evidence of Second Life's original Battlestar based RP region was cleared by it's original founder, Angelica Nephilim. Inarguably the parent of all BSG regions that followed in SL, whatever dramas or pains we might have felt in the past, this end of line leaves a noticably empty place in our hearts.
Among BSG47 "old timers", who can forget the great times we had in the early days? We remember the day of the attack and the swearing in of President Vargas. The attempted power grab and subsequent sedition arrest of Quorum Representative Carbetta. Sleeper agent D'Anna Biers (Dollwife), who earned our trust and became best friends with many before a rampage that resulted in numerous deaths and injuries aboard Pacifia.
Indeed, no BSG47 original member can deny that there was no better rp than we experienced during the first year of the region. Not to diminish the subsequent years of course. Lets not forget Sanctuary, our own version of the cylon treaty, and the end game where humanity returned to its home of origin Kobol.
After reviewing the access list, I've noticed that there have been no logged in visitors to this site in nearly a year. But it has been plagued with spam registrations. The BSG47.org domain will expire in February 2012. Pretty much all that remains now are pictures. I do not plan on giving non-forum access to them unless requested. If there is any interest, please contact me in-world.
To all that have come this way, good hunting.
